I have a bunch of favorite songs picked out from a music library. I want to change the library path to a new path that has all of my music files copied from the old path (same directory structure and names and everything), but I don't want my curated list of favorites to disappear. They seem to disappear from testing—I was wondering how to avoid this?

Second, I have the same question, but in about a year I plan to upgrade to a new server and move my Jellyfin instance and data to that—I want to keep the favorites (and playlists) then too.

I'm afraid there is no way to avoid this through the UI. You COULD make a copy of the XML used for the playlist and do a find/replace in the text editor to update the path.

What OS are you running? So I can provide the playlist path and give you instructions for migrating to your planned server.
