As the title suggests, I'm not quite sure if to enable or disable this when using QSV with an Intel Arc A380. If possible, I'd like to know what the difference is between using it or not, and if it affects QSV in any way. I've read around that it's for hybrid transcoding, but I'm not sure exactly what that is or if it's beneficial in my case. Thanks in advance for any information provided.

It is enabled by default so you don't need to change it. The DXVA and VAAPI decoders are FFmpeg's native hwaccel, are more error-tolerant than the QSV decoder wrapper, and support Dolby Vision metadata.

Thanks! I indeed had it enabled but had forgotten it was a default. It's really good to know what it does since I couldn't find that much info about it online.
