Hi everyone
As far as I am aware, there is no option to send money to the project. That is kind of a shame. I cannot code (my skills do not go beyond powershell scripting unfortunately) so I cannot help. This family is using Jellyfin very much, though and I personally rely on it on my commute and, I hate to phrase it like that, Jellyfin is letting me down very often for that task.
Couldn't there be a feature bounty? Like the better downloads function on your feature request page has over 1200 upvotes. Couldn't people send a cash amount to that feature and if the feature is implemented inside one year, the bounty could be claimed by involved devs?
I am very aware that it might lead to internal strive and bickering so I see why the project would be reticent but I have seen people ask for better downloads (and integration of said downloads into the app) and nothing has been done as far as I am able to tell. It is a bit frustrating.
To be honest, it feels like the response to community is as glacial as Plex. Sure, at least this is free but I don't mind paying for a service I use this much... I'd actually prefer it IF my contribution had actual real world positive impact.
