so since star wars the clone wars has two ways to actually watch it (chronologically in line with the story and then release order which doesn't exactly follow the story great) how do i handle it so that its in chronological order? i've seen a lot of people discussing something about being able to edit the display order of a show but i cannot seem to find where its location is within the metadata manager (currently on most 10.10.7 release). Or should i just move the files where they correctly go and hope like hell that jellyfin can just figure it out (which it probably can't since it seems that all metadata providers only show the series in its release order not chronological order)

The first thing you should do (and this is for your fully library) is export at the the metadat to individual NFO files.

What I did with Clone Wars was edit the episode (and season, if needed) in the metadata to put all episodes and the theatrical release into chronological order. This included renaming the episodes to follw this same order. Makes the most sense to me to watch it this way, despite how a few seasons were made. If it waso n'y 2 maybe 3 seasons then it wouldn't matter so much but as the series went on the story became far more linear and watching things out-of-order just doesn't make sense if you are doing a first time or a full rewatch.

Once you've done the work with renaming and eidting NFOs then it's just a simple rescan and you are set.

You can change it through the metadata manager for the series under display order:

Using the default TMDB, you should choose Story Arch as the display order. Also, your filenames would match the metadata provider:

    Code:
Star Wars The Clone Wars (2008)\
      Season 01\
        S01E01.mkv
        ...
        S01E134.mkv

After changing the display order, a refresh with replace all metadata may be needed to reflect the changes.
