    "Recently Added" Issue

What's the rule/limitation of number of items in "Recently Added"?

    Hi there,

In my jellyfin server,  I have a few frequently updated movie libraries, in the webgui each of them shows 16 "Recently Added" movies and I'm fine with them. However, I have three other tv shows libraries which are updated once in a while, the documentary one shows 13 "Recently Added", which is OK, but the anime or the tv show libraries only shows 3~6 "Recently Added", leaving a huge blank in the webgui.

I use data scanned into library as the date-added value in the metadata, try to re-scan the libraries a few times and that doesn't help. In fact, I added 12 animes in the last week and the "Recently Added" section originally showed 5 of them. However, after I added another one today and the homepage updated, there are only three most recent ones left in the "Recently Added" section.

I have checked this post https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-want-to-vie...ntly-added and didn't find it very helpful. Anyone has a clue about this?

    Thanks

There is a limit on the number of items that Jellyfin queries for the recently added section.  For shows each episode counts towards that total.  So if you added a large TV show it would consume most of that limit.  I recently added the entirety of the old Ranma and it is the only recent item for that library since it alone maxes the item count.

Oh OK, haven't thought of that reason because jellyfin for androidtv doesn't have this issue. I thought this is a client/gui config thing.

    Thank you!

I believe the query for recently added is client side, so each will behave a bit different.
