    Hi,

I have been searching the internet lika a crazy person but cannot find any info about my need.

I have been a long time Emby user but would really like to make the jump to Jellyfin. But i'm missing one crucial part: a plugin that extracts the media info from a .strm file.
My entire library is made up of stream files (10k+ movies, 4k+ series) and the issue right now is before playing a movie there is no information on video or audio codec, or any embedded subtitles.
This also means that no subtitles get selected upon play. (And no, the subtitle extract does not work for me)

If i play a movie for just a second the information gets loaded and i can see it when browsing the movie afterwards.
(See attached picture for better explanation)

Is there a plugin that can do a scan for the information, or are there anyone willing to build such a plugin? I lack the knowledge to do it myself but i will happily be a tester!

Emby has the same "issue", but there exist a plugin that solves the problems StrmExtract, if thats of any help for build a plugin.

    https://emby.media/community/index.php?/...m-extract/

    Thanks!

Edit: Clarification in title of request
