I've been using Jellyfin for a few months now and for the most part its great. I am having one big issue with the roku app that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have some anime and other foreign shows on my server that require subtitles. The problem is for some when I put the subtitles on the video stops playing on Roku. What I am having trouble understanding is it seems to only happen on movies. All the shows play on Roku no problem but when I try to play a movie, it will play fin with no subs but immediately stop playing if I put the subs on. I am including two pictures with the details of two videos. One with a problem and one without. All the videos play fine on my laptop. I figure its a problem with the roku app but I want to know if there is a way around it. Thanks in advanced!

This is the one the problem

Can you share your jellyfin server logs via privatebin.net? If I had to guess, it is trying to burn in the subtitles since ASS subs are not supported by most clients. And I'm assuming you have not fully setup hardware acceleration.

You would be correct that I have not set up hardware acceleration. I'm not sure I fully understand how that works, to be honest.

You need to update your server to 10.10. The just released Roku app version 3 requires 10.10+.
