Hi,
this is more of a general question on webOS rooting, but will appreciate any pointers.
While researching how to install jellyfin on my LG, I found out that I need to enable dev. mode. That's fine and all, but the developer mode "expires" every 50 hours. I have my tv disconnected for the internet for my personal reasons and i don't want to change this. Perhaps for the sike of rooting it once and for all, but not every 50 hours. I have seen some solution that will call some API endpoint on the LG server side, and that will, in turn, reset the clock on the TV - IF its connected to the internet. But mine is not.
So what i want to ask is - if i root my tv, will the 3rd party packages, like jellyfin, remain forever? Are there any alternatives?
Thank you all.
peace.
