I suspect the issue lies with Zidoo. I'll ask the question in their forums...
Update:
After speaking with Zidoo experts over at their forums, the likely cause for these issues is having 2 Jellyfin clients installed on the same device.
I've uninstalled the official ATV app & things seem to be running normally now.
Unfortunately, the Zidoo Jellyfin client can't be uninstalled, so while I much prefer the official ATV app, I've no choice but to use the butchered Zidoo client if I want the Jellyfin experience.
