I am running Jellyfin 10.10.7 on Windows 11 on a Dell OptiPlex 7020.

My file system looks like this:

    Shows
    └── TV Show
        ├── Season 01
        │  ├── TV Show S01SE01.mkv
        │  ├── TV Show S01SE02.mkv
        │  └── ...
        └── Season 02
            ├── TV Show S02SE01.mkv
            ├── TV Show S02SE02.mkv
            └── ...

None of these seasons or episodes will show up, except for one episode under "Recently Added in Shows." When I click that episode and watch it all the way through, the next episode will appear under "Recently Added in Shows," and the episodes that I have watched appear in search, but nowhere else.

I have tried refreshing metadata, deleting the library and recreating it, restarting Jellyfin, restarting the host machine, etc.

This issue occurs on the web client, the Android client, and the Roku client.

I'm still new to running a Jellyfin server, so any help is appreciated.

You could try a few things. First would be to add the show's ID to the folder name (tmdb best option, but I believe imdb works as well).

Another option is to try changing filenames to match the documentation, e.g., "TV Show - S01E01.mkv".

That extra "S" in the middle of your file name is probably confusing the metadata provider. For shows, I use the TheTVDB.com and always add the show ID in my directories. In the season directories, I use just the episode number, I don't even put the show name. Never had any problems.

    My live example:

Just make sure you have the TheTVDB plugin installed and turned on in "Manage Library" config.
