Good morning. Our set up is :
Jellyfin is installed on our NAS, our music library is on the NAS.
We use the ipad to select and play music through our Denon AVR X3100W receiver (the receiver and the NAS are on a wired network).

This set up worked perfectly (I cannot remember the Jelllyfin version but this was set up in November 2023) until recently, when updated Jellyfin to version 10.10.5.

Unfortunately, we are not very tech savvy (but trying to learn). It took us a very long time to figure out that the DLNA menu was now only available through a plugin. When we installed the plugin, we were again able to select the receiver under "Play on", instead of only the ipad.

The issue now is that we can select the receiver through "Play on", the receiver turns on, but the music does not play, we get a server error. However, we are able to play music through "Play on" on the ipad. We are at a loss troubleshooting what could be the issue and how to solve it.

Can you share your jellyfin logs via privatebin.net?

    Hello!
Apologies for the delay, it took me a while to figure out what is privatebin and where to find the logs... but I'm getting there.

I hope this helps troubleshoot. I appreciate the help.

Version 10.10.6 has just been released with some fixes for network discovery. Please update and see if it resolves your issue. Also, I your logs are unreadable—did you change the log settings? To view the logs on the WebUI, go to Dashboards -> Logs.
