I have two albums with the same composer.
The "Artist" and "Album artist" tags in the files are identical.
The two albums both follow the "[album title] - [album artist]" pattern, and the "[album artist]" is identical in the filenames as well
Using "MusicBrainz" for albums are turned off, but it is on for artists.
The two duplicate artist entries both points to the same "MusicBrainz" link.

Originally this artist had a lowercase "w" in the lastname, so I tried to manually edit this in the metadata. The name now looks correct, but it still points to "/config/metadata/artists/Rupert Gregson‐williams" with a lowercase "w". The "other" artist points to the metadata folder with an uppercase "W".
There is no lowercase "w" in my folder names, file names, or tags, so I don't know where it comes from.

    1. How/why can this happen?
    2. Is there any way to fix this? Using the "Group versions" function when both artists are selected just hangs (and I found another thread that says this only works for videos, not for music).

EDIT: I just deleted the config and cache folders so that everything is as clean as possible. Importing everything again and the same issue occurs, though now both metadata folders have a capital "W". Looking at the file level I can see the hypen is replaced with some sort of binary code on one of them.
