I hope I'm in the right section here with my question :-)

How can I update my Jellyfin server?

The following message is displayed on my Sony TV:

This server is using Jellyfin version 10.8.13 which is not supported. Please update to Jellyfin 10.9.9 or a newer version to continue using the app.
My Jellyfin server is a Synology DS418play and unfortunately no update is displayed in the package center!

    Who can help me please?

    Freak

If you are using the Synology "app" for Jellyfin, that is an unofficial release maintained (or not maintained) by a 3rd party and has not received any 10.9 updates. You will need to setup Jellyfin in a Docker container on your NAS. You may be able to migrated your data to the new Docker container if you can find where "/config" is stored on the NAS's file system.
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380

I think Efficient is the Synology guy. Here's his guide.

Thank you for the quick answers. I will try to install a container manager or Docker in the next few days. This was not possible on the DS416play a year ago.

    Hello,
    I did something stupid :-/
My DS is actually set so that it always automatically updates the DSM version. It also always said that the current version (DSM 7.1.) is installed!
But when I looked directly in the download center on Synology, I was shown a newer version (DSM7.2.) which I installed manually.
And lo and behold...I was able to update Jellyfin afterwards!
    Thanks for your answers anyway
    have a nice weekend
    Kind regards Freak
