share playlists

Hi@all,

First of all, I'm very grateful that the playlist bug (everyone sees all) is fixed in 10.9. Once the release happens, I can invite my family to the server :-)
A feature that I personally would find fantastic (and perhaps others as well) would be the ability to share playlists. This would allow me to control which JF user can see my playlists and what permissions they have (read-only, read/write, full access).

IIRC, there will be an option in 10.9 to grant access of playlists to particular users. I'll get back to you when I have a chance to test this (probably Sunday).

This is coming in 10.9 but not in the current unstable build. We had thought that it only needed frontend changes to add the ui to control access, but there were some api pieces missing too so it is taking a bit longer.

Is the option to share playlists already included after the feature freeze (10.9 / 04.05.24)? If so, I'd like to install it in parallel to test it out.

Due to time constraints we will not have the sharing functionality available in the web client with 10.9.

Okay, yes, I understand. There are surely more important tasks. It would be nice if there were a documented way to copy playlists from User A to User B. Simply copying doesn't work because the playlist defines an owner.
