I'm trying to change the metadata of one specific show (Astartes). Its first season shows as "Season Unknown" and I want to change that to "Season 1".

I've edited the title and set the season number to "1". I've also tried locking the season as well as the whole show to prevent further changes. However, the metadata keep resetting (title "Season Unknown", no season number, not locked).

I can rename the seasons of other shows just fine, so what do I need to do to make my changes for this show stick?

Can you provide examples for how the files and folders are named and organized? Jellyfin should be doing this automatically if everything follows our naming documentation.

My media folder structure looks like this:

    Code:
    /srv/
    └── Media/
        └── TV Shows/
            ├── 12 Kingdoms/
            │   ├── 12 Kingdoms s01e01.mp4
            :  :
            ├── Astartes/
            :  └── Astartes s01e01-e05.mp4

Is the library root "TV Shows"? Try putting the files in a Season folder.

Yes, "TV Shows" is the root library root for the shows library.

Moving the video file to a subfolder "TV Shows/Astartes/Season 1" did the trick. Thank you.
