Shows year?

The show year that is listed to be best for metadata of shows, is it the premier of first time launched, or the show air date for all episodes under the directory?

When the first episode premiered.  If you go to TMDB, TVDB, or whichever provider you use, they will usually have the premier year at the top.

For the show, it should list the premiere date when it first aired, while individual episodes will include their actual airdates.
