I am running Jellyfin server on my windows 11 PC and I have Jellyfin client app for WebOS on my LG C2 OLED. I have access to my library and I can stream 4K HDR video fine however I cannot get high res audio formats like DTS MA or Dolby Atmos to play through my LG C2 OLED connected to a Denon AVC-X4700H through HDMI ARC.
I back up blu-rays including all the audio formats on the disc, and I've enabled high res audio formats to be sent in the jellyfin server settings. The movie info screen on the LG Jellyfin app shows 5.1, 7.1 and Atmos tracks and when played on the tv shows the audio format in the info panel but the Denon amp only receives 2 channel PCM audio. I've gone into the LG sound settings and enabled high res audio passthrough so it should work but I don't know where it is going wrong. The PC and tv are wired into a gigabit network so it shouldn't be a bandwidth issue. All hardware has up to date firmware. Is it an issue with the server, the tv or the amp? If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great, thanks.
