Installation Details:
- Jellyfin Version: 10.9.1
- Installation Method and Platform: Docker on Linux
- Client(s) Used: Jellyfin Web 10.9.1 on Chrome browser, Jellyfin Media Player, Safari (Latest versions)
Issue Description:
Since updating to Jellyfin 10.9.1, I've been experiencing issues with the SyncPlay functionality. During group playback, the synchronization fails, and the playback stops, kicking users out of the session.
Expected Behavior:
I expect the synchronized playback to continue without interruptions, maintaining synchronization among all users.
Actual Behavior:
The playback works normally, and after 0.28 seconds stops suddently and forces users out of the session. This disrupts the viewing experience significantly.
Logs:
I've enabled debug logging and collected detailed logs from a session where the issue occurred. Find the logs here: https://pastebin.com/LQxzjZDn
Edit: I found that a new log looks different, not sure if it's useful at all (This is from restarting the app to launching a video with SyncPlay): https://pastebin.com/PvBnVdLp
What I've tried so far:
I am running Jellyfin on Unraid 6.12.10. I used to have the linux repository, but ever since updating this issue popped. Then, after flushing the cache and changing a few settings and poking here and there without any success, I decided to try another repository. I installed bbergle's one, which uses the official Jellyfin container, and runs Debian instead of Ubuntu (Which is supposed to work better than the Linux repository one).
Re-did all the configuration from zero, with the new container. After scanning all the movies and shows, I tried again. Playback works normally. When I create a group with Syncplay, the problem arises once again.
Nothing on my end changed, except the Jellyfin version. I don’t know what else to do. Hopefuly you can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
