its anime episode, ever since i started hosting media on jellyfin, everytime i use android of jellyfin to watch anime , the subtitles are always found to be not in sync with video for some reason. this force me to download whole file in my phone and then watch it (on vlc app)

the media file itself is not in fault , and i face no issue if watch on jellyfin's app on my android TV or on PC .
for some reason its only phone app where subtitles are never in sync with video and its with every anime i try to watch.

for ex: here's the screen recording

What kind of subtitles are they? Also, is the video transcoding or direct playing?

I think it was direct play , since quality was on auto (highest) plus no transcoding message in "info".

And what kind of subtitles are they? ASS? SRT? PGS?

    I'm assuming ASS subs.

Also, on your phone, are you using the web player or the integrated player?

    Yes they are ASS subs

I don't know what kind of player it is but I was using official jellyfin app from play store, the videos were being played on it

I provided the menu location to figure out which player you are using. Your answer to that question matters.

In that case, the html video player is directly rendering the ASS subs. Even on my desktop PC, fancy ASS subs can cause Chromium to desync the subs due to the subtitle rendering engine becoming overwhelmed.

If you switched to the integrated player, which can still render ASS subs, but without styling, if you select that option. If you don't select that option to render subs in the integrated player the server will burn in the subtitles instead.

    Give either option a try.
