    Hello,

I recently installed Jellyfin on my QNAP NAS and was using it fine. Somehow I screwed up my password and can no longer login. When I try to reset it, I get a message that says "The following file has been created on your server and contains instructions on how to proceed. Enter PIN here to finish Password Reset /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/jellyfin/database/passwordresetd6d7e7e9-ccbe-4789-9726-24024aa5a68d.json." My problem is I have no idea where to find that file. I have looked everywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You would need to open a file explorer on your NAS from the web UI to navigate to that location.

The dot in front of .qpkg indicates it is a hidden directory. Not sure if QNAP has a setting to hide/reveal hidden folders and files that you need to toggle.

Thank you for your help. I'm new to this so please bear with me.

I am using my TV as the monitor with an HDMI cable. I am using File Station 5 (it was part of the QNAP app store). I can not find the file or even the directory anywhere. There is a setting to view hidden files and that is checked on.

Thank you again, TDP. I used your post to go a little further down the rabbit hole and realized the OEM File Explorer QNAP uses (File Station 5) does not allow you to view hidden system files. I downloaded WinSCP and was able to do exactly what you suggested. I was able to reset my password.

Noted.  But that's stupid.  I understand not showing them by default, but not having the option?  Come on, QNAP.
