Jellyfin won't direct play casting to mpv shim

I am trying to play a DV media on my Linux machine (NixOS) running Jellyfin Media Server, casting from the web UI (on the same machine) to jellyfin-mpv-shim. However, it will stubbornly transcode the video even though I can directly play the media with MPV player using --vo=gpu-next option in the command line. I even have it defaulted in my ~/.config/mpv/mpv.conf configuration.

My jellyfin-mpv-shim config is default except that I have toggled "trancode_dobly_vision": false as well in my config file.

While I can still play my media directly with MPV, I really enjoy the web UI to browse my collection, so I would love to make it directly stream video to my MPV player using jellyfin-mpv-shim.
