EDIT: Nevermind. Not a Jellyfin issue. Apparently Chrome disables HEVC decoding for some Intel integrated graphics.
Today I tried playing some HEVC files via JellyfinWeb on Chrome, didn't play at all. I didn't get any error messages whatsoever, the loading icon just kept going on the screen forever.
Jellyfin logs doesn't seem to recognize the request for the file at all.
I tried Edge, everything worked fine.
I tried H264 and AV1 files on Chrome, also fine. Some H264 files required audio transcoding and/or remuxing, ffmpeg worked correctly.
However HEVC files on Chrome won't play no matter what. What is weird I used to play HEVC files no problem on Chrome up until last month.
I tested both Jellyfin Media Player on Windows desktop (normal, direct play), and Jellyfin Android app (also normal, transcoded some audio and/or remux mkv).
