    I'm beginning my journey down the home server Jellyfin path after hosting it desktop for quite some time.

    I've got;
    • HP Z840
    • single Xeon E5 2620 v3
    • 64gb DDR4
    • Geforce GTX 1650

    I'm finding that even idling ffmpeg appears to be using upwards of 70% CPU. I'm thinking this is a wee bit high and am wondering what's going on.

    I've got hardware acceleration turned on and have seen bumps in the GPU usage when streaming from the web client, although playing to the Google TV appears to be Direct playing.

    I've attached some logs (hopefully the right ones).

    Any ideas?

    Enable [Dashboard->Playback->Throttle Transcodes] and try again.
