There are currently two Roku apps available. The new one comes with many new features, but it still has some bugs that need fixing. The other app is the legacy version, which will no longer receive updates, but for some users, it may still offer better performance while the issues with the new app are being addressed. Have you tried the legacy Roku app?

Have you tried the legacy Roku app? The Jellyfin legacy app seems to be playing the HDR fine, which is weird because my server and everything else is updated to the latest files. However it will not transcode TrueHD or Atmos audio files, which Plex seems to be doing with no issues. The main Jellyfin app does seem to be playing the files just fine with 7.1 TrueHD but won't play the HDR. It's like I have to pick which one I prefer.

Did you set a rate limit for remote connections? 10Mbps seems like a limit one would set if you had a limited upload speed. Are your Roku devices not being detected as local clients?
Go into the main Jellyfin log and search for "IsInLocalNetwork". This will appear every time playback is initiated on any client.

I have no actual upload limit since I have a fast internet connection and everything is just being used locally on my network. I'm not using a NAS or any sort of external streaming outside of my home network. I've had no issues with the devices being found. This also brings me to another question. How can it be a server setting if the legacy version of the app works with HDR while using the same server? |
