Hi everyone hope you are well.

I have been looking for this specific issue everywhere with no luck.

Jellyfin is running on a rpi4, playback on a Firestick max (latest model). No issue whatsoever, everything runs smoothly except with some movies, all of them HVEC h265 (but not all h265 have this issue) that renders as a three way split screen (see image)

Imagine the movie is rendered as such:
Left part cut to the right. Top part cut to the bottom. Rest on the left.

    Audio: perfect
    Video: perfect (including HDR)

    Video details:

Just this weird rendering issue. Anyone has any idea what's going on?

    known issue with FireTV
IIRC it's because of non-standard resolutions, yours appears to be 3832x1600
test something with normal resolution 3840x2160

    edit

here's a link to the same issue from different software, same device+os https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0...-correctly

yea honestly once it looked like it became more than "unplug it and plug it back in" the amazon rep seemed to bail on the issue and pass it along
buying android devices has become a minefield too, hope you find something you're happy with
