Interesting... because the TV (running Roku natively) is already plugged in via Ethernet. The media server has a 2.5Gb connection to the router. Bandwidth should be the last issue. Maybe time to try a different switch?

    perhaps, or cables?

between your first log showing "Slow HTTP Response" which indicates network

then the ffmpeg log showing '[q] command received. Exiting.' which indicates the client disconnected

the ffmpeg log also shows a very good encode speed which indicates no issue on the server itself

if it were truly an audio codec it shouldn't start playback at all

putting all that together, the issue is sure to be between exiting the server and entering the roku, therefor network

It's interesting then if the problem is the network why these files and larger ones play just fine over Plex on the same TV?

Well I appreciate it... and in fact Plex did freeze a few times last night while watching a particularly large movie. So you may be onto something after all. Thanks for the help.

After upgrading my video card driver from nvidia 470 to 535, the movie now plays fine. Apparently that was the problem.

Thanks again for your effort @000.
