Hello, how can I make the app choose the full subs by default? I use mkv files with integrated subtitles and when I was using Plex I had an option to use non forced subtitles. Now Jellyfin will choose forced subs by default, meaning I have to manually select the full subs for each episode.

Is there any solution to my problem? Thanks

The MPV Shim client has an option that lets you choose which sub and audio track is used during a session: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-mpv-shim

Both the browser app and android app do you some subtitle selection options, but I've found they aren't consistent when subtitles are marked forced or default.

On the home page, click the user icon on the far right and select "Subtitles." Here, you can explore various "Subtitle modes". Although there may not be an option that exactly meets your needs, you can experiment with these settings. If none of them achieve the desired behavior, consider submitting a feature request at: https://features.jellyfin.org/

There's also these following settings in the client settings:

Client Settings > Playback > "Set subtitle track based on previous item"

There's also another option above it titled "Set audio track based on previous item"
