    SOLVED: Jellyfin not removing missing shows/movies

    One of my hard drives crashed. I want Jellyfin to remove all media from that hard drive from their respective libraries.

    Hello! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I am using Jellyfin 10.8.13 via Docker on an M1 Mac Mini.

    One of my hard drives crashed, so I removed that mount from my docker-compose file and then spun up the container again. However, when I click "Scan All Libraries," Jellyfin doesn't remove the shows/movies that are on the hard drive that I unmounted. I don't want users to try to watch media that is unavailable. How do I remove this media from Jellyfin without having to do it one-by-one?

    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Here's part of it: https://pastebin.com/R9WpjeWt

    Ignore the very top part. The path that I unmounted is "/media/jellyfin-wdmybook".

    Did you do a full rescan of all libraries? It should remove stuff that isn't there anymore. The log says it can't find the path so it should remove them on a rescan.

    Yes, I've done "Scan All Libraries" a few times now and the media is still listed in Jellyfin.

    if all you are seeing is log lines the files may still be in collections and that's generating the log entries
    check the collections folder for xml files that have the old paths
    might have to open up the sqlite database and poke around using sqlitebrowser https://sqlitebrowser.org but i doubt it

    @tmsrxzar

    None of these items are in collections, though. I don't use collections.

    I figured it out. I just deleted the folders from their respective libraries in the "Libraries" panel.
