    I just updated my Windows client - and now am having problems with it.
        Server = Synology NAS, Version 10.10.7,
        Client  = Windows x64, Version 1.12.0
    When I connect using a web browser, all works fine.
    But the windows client,
    I cannot seem to login. If I do change server and go to my home server,
    on the login screen I enter known user/pass, and it fails.

    I went to settings and profile, it shows my user name, and I did "change password", and it took the old (current) one, and I set it to the same value, and it said "saved", but it still fails on trying to login.

    It does allow me to change settings (e.g. order of folders), so I would take that to mean I am logged-in?
    And settings shows an option "log out".

    I tried using QuickConnect, and entering the code it gives on the already logged-in web interface (Settings, QuickConnect ), but it says " Unknown Quick Connect code".

    The windows client Shows all media, and I can open one, see the media info and seasons (TV shows),
    but not play anything.
    I assume I am logged in to see that much(?)

    Clicking to play any episode just shows the background picture (or blank) and I cannot get out of that state unless I do right-click "reload", which goes back to a login screen.

    The windows client was working fine before the  update.

    Opening Jellyfin on my phone, it asks for a login, and using these same credentials works fine.

    Try clearing the JMP cache.

    C:\Users\yourUser\appdata\local\

    In that directory delete both "jellyfinmediaplayer" and "Jellyfin Media Player" folders. Then open JMP again and retry.
