    Hi:

I was using JF 10.10.7 on my Linux Mint server and decided to give the last release candidate (RC8 ) a shot, mainly to see if the local intros plugins was fixed for my case (I created a thread about it some weeks ago, but didn't receive any replies), and also because my main client is a LG Smart TV and I understand there were a couple of commits made after 10.10.7 with the purpose of fixing playback issues (using hls.js and short segments). I upgraded using the .deb packages and migration was completed without issues. So far movies play as expected and haven't encountered any issues, besides these five:

    1) Well, local intros still not works for me, it hasn't since 10.8.13 (if I go back to that version with the exact same setup, it works). It still freezes after the pre roll video ends, and the movie doesn't start if you don't press the next video button (which defeats the purpose of the plugin). I attached logs on my previous thread, but no answer so far, and I really don't know why it doesn't work for me or what else should I do to troubleshoot it.

    2) In my collections, previously the movies where sorted by release date (which was ideal for me). Now they are in random order. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? Maybe there's an option somewhere to select how to sort the movies, but haven't found it. I attached a screenshot, the movies are no longer ordered by release date as before.

    3) Similar as the previous issue. I use a music library with the "artists" set as the default landing page. Apparently they are sorted alphabetically, but the "sort title" metadata doesn't work anymore. I have a couple of artists that I always want to keep at the top of the list, and previously I did that writing something like 1, 2 , 3, etc in "sort titles" for the artists I wanted to keep at the top. Apparently, sort titles field doesn't have any effect now, the artists are still sorted alphabetically, including those ones.

    4) I don't know if this has to do with the new database or not, but when I add an image for a library (movies for example), sometimes it takes a reboot or wait some minutes for it to be applied and shown in the interface. Not a problem, but when it comes to the Live TV channels I added (using MP3 tuner), no matter what I do, the image is never displayed. But if you enter a channel, you can see that the image was in fact loaded and displays correctly (so it's not a permission issue, which I checked anyway). Disabling my custom css doesn't solve this either. Not a deal breaking issue, but not ideal either. Is this a known bug? Am I doing something wrong? With 10.10.7 and previous versions, as soon as I loaded an image it was displayed in the interface. I attached a couple of screenshot so you can see that the images are indeed loaded, but for some reason they are not showing when looking at the channels section, only when you select a channel.

    5) I cannot get transcoding to work when using the MP3 tuner. No matter if I set a low maximum bitrate or if select to force transcoding for external sources at user level, it always direct plays. It's an issue for me since some channels I have set up have high bitrate and most of my clients have a lot of playback issues because of the high bitrate (most of them stop playing after less than a minute). Don't know if this is a known bug of if there's another way to control this setting.

Hope to get some help with these issues. Thanks in advance!

Some of those issues were solved in rc9: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/rel...0.11.0-rc9

Thanks for your reply, I hadn't noticed that RC9 was already released. It did in fact solve a couple of my issues, issues 2 and 3 were solved (now music artist are correctly sorted, the same with collections, now movies are ordered by release date as expected). The other issues weren't solved in my case.

    1) Local intros still doesn't work for me, and it hasn't since JF 10.8.13. No change in my setup or configurations, going back to 10.8.13 solves the issue, and every version after 10.9 presents the described behavior. I posted some logs on my other thread, but haven't received any answers and I really don't know what else to do to keep troubleshooting. If you have any advice, it would be greatly appreciated (I really want to use this plugin, it's by far my main issue with JF right now).

    2) Live TV images are still not shown in the UI. Sometimes when I restart the server all images even disappear, as if they were never loaded. Buy when they don't, they are correctly displayed when entering a channel, but not on the main Live TV section (as shown in my screenshots). Seems like a bug, it's not a permission issue since the images are indeed loaded. I can build Jellyfin-web from source, do you happen to know which file of the code should I be looking into to try to troubleshoot this? I don't know which file controls the images that are displayed in the Live TV menu.

    3) The Live TV transcoding issue persitis, no matter what I do (at least at server side), it never transcodes. Some channels that I have have a very high bitrate and most of my clients hang after a few seconds. That would be solved if transcoding was working for Live TV, but I don't know if this is a bug or if there's some setting I'm missing.

Thanks again for your reply, any suggestions regarding the previous issues would be highly appreciated.

Can you create a bug report on GitHub regarding issue #2. https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/iss...report.yml

Please only report the single issue.

    Thanks,
