Hello, all. I don't use Jellyfin all that often, but sometimes we wish to watch Movies I have transcoded from my DVDs to mp4 format. I've got close to 600 or so of them (~700 GB). My main desktop worked fine at home. I've recently purchased a mini computer for use at a shared family vacation home. At home, before leaving for the vacation home, I configured the mini computer with the server software. The server works as expected on the new mini computer. All the movies indexed as they should (they are on the logical "D" drive). When my existing client apps on ROKU devices and/or ROKU TVs are launched, they find the new server on the mini computer as well as see the server on the desktop. I use the quick connect option to connect to the mini computer, it connects fine. When I return from the server after entering the quick connect code - at the Roku device or TV, my server ID name shows in the upper right, and the entire screen is black other than that. Time does not change what happens. NADA, nothing. I tried the Legacy version of Jellyfin - different appearance but it does not work either.
On my main TV at home, I uninstalled the app (to delete the auto connect to the mini computer), then re-linked to my desktop server. Now it has the same exact problem. The last time I used it that one worked fine.
I've just arrived at the vacation home - the mini computer server is working fine. I launched the existing Roku client app on our main TV, connected to the new mini computer server again with Quick Connect - all well - until... back at the client (Roku connected to the TV) - and there it is again. Black screen with the server ID name displayed in the upper right corner.
I can't be the first one to experience this - what's going on? What is my remedy? Thanks in advance.
