    Hello

I had a transcoding problem with AMD drivers 24.XX.XX on RTX 7900 XTX

This problem was solved with drivers 24.5.1.

But now, i have a strange problem.

If i reboot my computer, the transcoding is ok and perfect (Tone mapping is very good).

But if i want to watch a video few hours later with transcoding, it can't because the transcoding is crashing with this error message :

[AVHWDeviceContext @ 000001e2a13caec0] Using device 1002:744c (AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX).
[AVHWDeviceContext @ 000001e29fbceec0] No matching devices found.
    Device creation failed: -19.
Failed to set value 'opencl=ocl@dx11' for option 'init_hw_device': No such device
Error parsing global options: No such device

Plex don' have this problem, i can transcode without problem.

If i reboot, transcoding is ok for a moment...
    Have you an idea?

Does this only happen with HDR media?

On transcoding videos 4K ou 1080p.

If i reboot the computer, transcoding is ok on 4k or 1080p.

There is something who seems to crash few times later.

But Plex don't have this problem and can transcode.

There is something wrong with this drivers and/or Jellyfin?

Since Plex doesn't support the full hardware transcoding pipeline on AMD GPU, you won't run into OpenCL-related issues on it. This issue appears to be driver-side. The OpenCL runtime is lost due to a driver reset, and then recovered after a reboot. Windows Remote Desktop can also cause this type of issue.

    I found the problem.

I'm using the remote desktop to access to my computer but the remote desktop seem to crash the video card or reset the driver.
i had disabled the Windows Remote Desktop hardware acceleration since months but remote desktop had problems on Windows 11....

The remote desktop seems to crash the driver...

I am using a Vega iGPU on Windows 10, so I do not encounter this issue with RDP enabled.
