I have two different music libraries set up--one for music, the other for non-music, both using the music type library.

The libraries show up fine in the home section--My Media will display them as two different libraries, so will Recently Added, e.g., "Recently Added in Music" and "Recently Added in Non-Music."

However, testing Jellyfin Mobile for iOS yesterday I noticed that during a shuffle of the Music library, tracks from the Non-Music library got queued and played as well.  Tracks from the Non-Music library would also show up in Suggestions as recommended or similar stuff.

That was rather unexpected and pretty much defeats the whole purpose of having separate libraries.

Is that a bug or a setting?  I haven't been able to find anything.

    Thanks much.

I believe this is related to another issue.

    https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/12764

Their issue is not exactly the same, but the underlying cause is probably the same. I don't think this issue will be fixed until the library database refactor occurs in, at the earliest, 10.11. If the refactor even makes it into that version.

Can't speak for that particular issue since my files and folders, including artists, albums and songs, only appear once throughout the entire system.

I was referring to shuffling and recommendations of files that are sitting in folder 2 while I'm actually playing music from folder 1.

The underlying cause might very well be the same, but as I stated above, all my files appear only once--no overlaps whatsoever.  This is solely to separate media types, not to serve different users.

Without having looked into it in detail or even knowing what I'm talking about, it's probably because the media type takes precedence over the folder structure.  I don't have these problems with Movies vs. TV Shows or Movies vs. Music, for example.

    That should definitely be fixed.
