Forcing the show to record if it is a repeat works but if the series setting record all shows is selected then I expect the show to be recorded even if it is a repeat.  You can force it to record by selecting the grayed out record button.  But this means users must manually track which shows are repeat shows in advance which is not something users should have to do.

Yeah still broken here.  The recording code is nonfunctional.  Start over and redesign it.  I think the attempt to identify existing recordings is just broken.  Simplify and make it better. Why do you need that feature anyway?

Completely forgot to provide a git link. Submit an issue here. I don't see an open issue with a similar problem.

Hey @grumpycat, did you manage to solve this? I've a similar setup and I'm seeing some repeat shows failing to record as well. One-off shows seem to record fine. Editing the recording settings sometimes appear not to be saved. Also, visiting recording settings for some programmes that were previously recording fine can cause them to be messed up even if I don't change anything i.e. fail to record future episodes. They are appearing in the guide with a grey dot instead of a red dot. I have All Episodes selected but it looks like it thinks it is a repeat, or one already recorded, and doesn't record. I'm checking each day now but haven't been able to see a pattern yet.

Another user on another post commented that turning on looping for their m3u tuner config fixed recording for them. Not sure why that would change anything, but it worked for them.

Hi @TheDreadPirate, thanks. I'm using an HDHomeRun for my recordings. Any clues as to how "turning on looping", please? Sorry, but I've no idea what that means.

In Jellyfin, Dashboard > Live TV > Select tuner, it should be a check box near the bottom of the tuner settings.

Here's what I can see. Nothing looks like a looping setting.
