    Hello all,

I'm getting no sound from one of my TV series. The xtension is MKV. Any chance someone could help figure out why it works in VLC but not with Jellyfin?

First, just as an explainer, MKV is a container and says nothing about the video or audio streams it contains. They can be pretty much any video/audio codec out there, plus a number of other factors I won't go into. Just know that MKV tells you very little about a file.

Second, what client are you using for playback? And how did you set up your Jellyfin server (e.g., install script, docker)? What is your host computer's OS?

Lastly, logs would probably help. You can easily find them through Dashboard > Logs. Please post them, both Jellyfin and ffmpeg logs, to a site like privatebin.net.

OK I'll try to answer :

I'm using Jellyfin on Firefox for playback. I' on Windows 10. I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean by how I set up my server. I just installed Jellyfin client on my PC, had it detect my series folder and set up the UI on Firefox where I watch the series, nothing fancier than that.

Here are the logs as you asked :
    FFmpeg : https://privatebin.net/?3a998c136fd465b1...3umEGQ9mDP
    Log : https://privatebin.net/?b885ac4259ed5590...GEq2Fog3QF

    I hope I answered correctly
