Hello. Since yesterday I started noticing that on any device the bitrate limit is set to 4.9 Mbps. I've been researching the internet but I'm getting desperate. I don't think this is the same bug as in other discussions (something with client, because on my end it occurs on every device), it persists even after updating to the latest version of jellyfin. If logs are needed, I am able to provide them.  I just need someone to tell me where they are. Or just guide to the location of settings for this bitrate limit. I didn´t found it.

devices I have tried it on: Android TV, Android Phone, Windows PC, Linux PC

You sure you haven't accidentally set a limit in Jellyfin? Either on the user, or via dashboard>playback>streaming menu?

Are these devices local or remote? Did you set a global, per user, or per device bit rate limit?

nope, I've tried different variations, nothing. Read the post below for what I found out next.

Okay, so, I wrote this post while I was away from home and was connected through my dns. So there's a bitrate problem there. At home, via the local ip address of the jellyfin server, the video works normally at full resolution. Also I am not aware of setting such limits on bitrate.

Edit: I found out that there was a limit on my account for 5 mbps. Not sure how it got there. (I did not set that)
Thank you, I did not know of per user bitrate limit.
