    Hi everyone,

Firstly I wanted to say I am sorry and have probably completely cocked this up.

    Secondly, the issue at hand.

I have a file (detailed below) that I get no audio output on when playing back on Apple TV. It plays fine on my PC, and my LG TV client. All other files I have seem to playback fine via appletv, but for some reason this one has no audio.

    Configuration:

I am running Server version 10.10.1 on Windows and its done a super awesome job so far at serving up my media library.

The apple TV is in (what I call) my cinema room, which is an Apple TV 4K connected via Ethernet. Gen3 I believe. as a source for my Onkyo SR805 amp (7.1) via HDMI. My amp outputs to an old 1080p Panasonic AE3000 (which I think is still great in a dedicated room!  Smiling-face connected into the Onkyo as an hdmi output.

Everything in that room is 1080p and SDR (I have manually set the Apple TV to this as well)

Detail of the file from JF:
    Audio
    Title: English - Dolby TrueHD + Dolby Atmos - 7.1 - Default
    Language: eng
    Codec: TRUEHD
    AVC: No
Profile: Dolby TrueHD + Dolby Atmos
    Layout: 7.1
    Channels: 8 ch
    Bitrate: 3463 kbps
    Sample rate: 48000 Hz
    Bit depth: 24 bit
    Default: Yes
    Forced: No
    External: No

Any help is always very much appreciated. This is the first time I have come across this as everything else I have thrown at the apple TV seems to playback better than our tv. JF server says everything is fine and the source file is "entirely compatible with the client and the session is reciveng the fiule without modification".

I have tried to see if there is anything audio setting wise I can change on the playback for that file, or the playback on the client side and have consequently got a bit lost and stuck.

    Thanks
The source file is entirely compatible with this client and the session is receiving the file without modifications. entirely compatible with this client and the session is receiving the file without modifications.

Is the Apple TV set up to do audio passthrough? AFAIK, most devices can't do both TrueHD AND Atmos. I'm not sure if the Apple TV is the problem or the receiver.
