    Hello,

For my music libraries, I use Jellyfin's ability to use the HTLM language in the overview box. For example : <br><a href="https://mylink.com">access to mylink.com</a><br>

The problem is that in some cases, such as when a new installation is done while preserving the metadata or when modifying the NFO file, Jellyfin deletes the HTLM tags and retains only the text.

It seems that Jellyfin uses a sanitizer and I guess the problem comes from there.

If anyone has any ideas on how to prevent this, I'm all ears.

    Thanks in advance!

In fact, it seems to have come from the album.nfo file located in the folder of an online music album. In this nfo file, only the text appears, without the HTLM tags. Adding the tags directly to the album.nfo file would seem to solve the problem.

When refreshing metadata directly (to a single library, title, season, movie, etc.), the "Scan for new and updated files" WILL NOT make your HTML tags disappear. The other two options will. Even if you lock the overview box (or the whole metadata) from changing, each refresh will still make your tags disappear.

When you use the "Scan All Libraries" option in the dashboard, this scan WILL NOT make tags disappear. I'm not sure if automatic library scans will make tags disappear (since I have those disabled), but when I scan a whole library with this button in the dashboard, all my tags (mainly <br> tags for new lines) don't disappear.

So you just have to make sure to never manually refresh metadata on things that you have set custom tags on.

This has been an issue since way back. Normally, the only tags that don't disappear are the ones that are pulled from the metadata provider. I've tried editing in the tags directly to the .nfo files and rescanning the media files, but this didn't work either.

Also, if you would ever like to transfer your Jellyfin library to another computer, you will have to make sure to transfer over the database library to your new installation. This way, the new installation will retain all your changes with tags.
