Hey there,
I just updated my system and started running into an issue where new media would not appear in the library even after a scan. I thought it was a permission issue, so I added the appropriate ones. Still nothing. I keep my media on an external hard drive connected by USB (this definitely is suboptimal, but it's a temporary solution that has worked fine for a while now) that is mounted in its own directory within /mnt. I verified that it is indeed mounted and to the correct directory, and the media does show up in the metadata manager like it's supposed to. Naming schemes, permissions, and filetypes are correct and have not changed since the update.
As a last resort, I uninstalled completely using the purge jellyfin* approach and performed a fresh reinstall. Now it's behaving even stranger than before. Only one movie (no metadata can be scraped) is showing up in the library, and when I click on it, it's unplayable. However, a random movie in the "More Movies Like This" section appears below it and can be played. No TV shows are showing up at all. A few of my many music albums are showing up, also with no metadata, but they are playable
It's been a few hours and library scans are not running, so it's not a patience issue. Nothing out of the ordinary in the logs and no issues anywhere else on the server.
I've attached two screenshots - one is what I'm seeing in the metadata manager menu, which is correct. The second is what happens when I click on the one movie showing up in the library; the "More Like This" movie will play if I try to but the main one will not.
I'm running Debian 12 with the 6.1.0 kernel on an old Dell desktop. Let me know if you have any questions that would help out, and I thank you in advance for the help.
