You'd edit the service env file to use the path your ffmpeg is located at.
/etc/default/jellyfin Edit the variable "JELLYFIN_FFMPEG_OPT".

Hello, sorry to dig this up a bit but I have the same issue on Bazzite (based on Fedora Silverblue) and I don't understand your response or where to find this file. There is no jellyfin file or directory in my /etc/default/. I really didn't want to waste anyone's time here as I really appreciate your work but I spent a lot of time googling already, and also I'm a newbie and I'm stuck.
I installed the Jellyfin server through flathub, if that's relevant.

flatpak doesn't work the same as a deb/rpm/aur install would. flathubs are, essentially, self contained and all the files it produces and uses are usually in your home directory in .config, .local, .cache, and so on. It would not write any files to /etc or /var.
I'm not familiar with the particulars of how the flatpak server works. But I'd imagine there is an equivalent environment file somewhere in ~/.config. |
