How do I update on Linux?

Did you reboot the system since we "fixed" it?  I am assuming you are allowing your OS to auto-mount this drive.  If so, it reapplied the ACL and denying Jellyfin access.

You should manually mount the drive so that this doesn't happen again.

Yes, turned it off before bed, turned it back on after work, but only now tried JF to watch stuff until I fell asleep. Both drives are mounted. However, I did notice when I restart the PC, they don't get mounted until I click on them in "Files" and then "Other Locations" (where they show up).

Indeed. That link has the tutorial I first used many moons ago and my go to tutorial for helping new Linux users. Manually mounting your drives that will always be attached is definitely recommended so that permissions aren't reset and the drive is always available.

I also just noticed that when I go to add a new folder to my library (was just testing it), it's now doing that thing where it'll only find the /media/user/ directory, but not the drives (I thought what I did last night to fix that would be permanent).

So, that URL you linked....it says it would wipe my drives?   Because I have TB of content on them. Why in the world would Linix not auto-see my internal drives like Windows does?

I tried the GUI version of what you linked instead (sudo gnome-disks) and on the one drive of my media, I have:

EDIT: Ok, well I tried this just now, restarted PC. Upon rebooting, it seems the drives were now mounted already on boot, but JF still won't play the media. How do I give it permanent access?

Oops.  Didn't read the whole post.  Where is the media drive mounted now?

Ok, sooo, for whatever reason, instead of it being mounted at /media/user/drivename, it is at /mnt/drivename. *However*, it went from a nicely-named format of /media/user/Shows to /mnt/34TY34EGWEFG2/Shows. No idea why it made the drive names jumbled like that now. They show up named regularly on my PC, though. So yet again, JF is re-scanning my library right now since I changed the media locations to the new /mnt locations. That being said, the little bit it's re-scanned so far IS letting me play it now. Gonna restart my PC real quick and see if it sticks. EDIT: Holy God, it's working on reboot. Christ, finally. I just hope it sticks permanently this time now. Still might need to re-scan yet again if I can figure out how to unjumble the drive names and maybe even set them back at the /media location. Not sure best way to do that.
