Nvidia shield TV Pro

Hello,

I wanted to buy an Nvidia Shield TV Pro just to use on an old 1080p TV, do you think the 2017 version is a good choice or is it better to go for the 2019 version which is double the price?

I wouldn’t bother with the 2019 shield if you are going to install LineageOS since that removes all proprietary code, including automagic upscaling and proprietary codecs.
