I removed the TMDb Box Sets add-in a while ago, because of this bug where it ignore the "minimum number of movies" settings - or so I thought.

I uninstalled via the Admin panel, deleted the unwanted collections... and 24 hours later, those collections were back.
I dug around in the Jellyfin server folder, and removed what I thought were all the relevant files, deleted the unwanted collections ... and 24 hours later, those collections were back.
I've also deleted the collections by removing their metadata files (in Jellyfin\Server\data\collections\) ... and 24 hours later, those collections were back.

My guess is that somewhere, some file exists that is making TMDb Box Sets function, zombie-style?

So, what are all the files that form part of TMDb Box Sets?

Or, more broadly: how do I kill this thing?

In each of your library's settings, did you check the box "Automatically add to collection"?

    FINALLY!!

Yes, unchecking that worked. Thank-you so much! :-)

Thank-you so much! I had no idea that Jellyfin (by default) adds things to collections that don't exist... is this intended behaviour?

If you check that box, yes. It is unchecked by default.
