Hey,
I'm quite new to jellyfish. I installed everything and loaded a bunch of movies, music, and series on it. I run it in truenas.
Now, where I am struggling is with playing films and series. I converted everything to mp4 to use direct play on my browser, android app and TV. I read this was the way to do it for optimal performance and storage. When streaming on my web browser, everything is okay, and when I click playback info, it uses direct play. On my tv, it seems to do this as well. The trouble is when I use the app on my tablet. The content is not pleasant to watch, and the playback info says that Jellyfin is transcoding. And I get the following message: The video codec's level is not supported. When I open Chrome and play it through Chrome, it also uses direct play.
The problem seems to be with the app on my tablet and phone. What can I do to make the app also use direct play? What info can I provide so you can beter help and understand the problem?
underneath 2 photos of the browser and app, same film
