SOLVED: [WebOS] only blurred placeholder images showing

[Webos 3.21.40] Correct images on first run, then only blurred images thereafter.

After installing Jellyfin on my LG TV, the placeholders displayed fine.  All files play correctly - perfect, exactly as expected.  When running it after that first time all placeholders become blurred for every movie, show, album etc and are never updated.  Files still play correctly.

I've deleted and reinstalled Jellyfin again on the TV, and same - first time everything is good, subsequently only blurred images.  It's reasonably quick for such an old TV, no issues with scrolling or playback.

I've tried to disable "Enable blurred placeholders for images" but this removes all images.  With this setting disabled the TV just has a black box where the image would normally be.  I've also followed advice in another thread about blurred images and disabled faster animations and lowered the library page size, but both had no impact on the blurred images or speed of the app.

When I access the server from the TV's internal web browser everything works as expected.  The placeholder images are displayed correctly, files play etc.  When I enter a category (e.g. movies) the web browser displays a blurred image for less than 1 second and it is then replaced by the correct placeholder image.  This is the same when scrolling - blurred images quickly replaced by correct images.  This option is MUCH slower to navigate than the webos app, so is not the preferred interface.

    [Server]
    Jellyfin 10.10.1
    Linux Podman
    [Client]
    LG LF5900 software version 3.21.40

I also run clients on Linux (Firefox) and Android, and both operate as expected.  All files play correctly, no issues other than the webos app placeholder images are blurred.  In the attached logs (debug) the LG client is 192.168.68.115.  The server is accessed via local IP address. The server is not behind any proxy servers etc.

It's still great to have it on the TV, so thank you to everyone involved.

Is the container using host networking or bridge networking?

Hey, thanks for responding to my message.

Tonight I uploaded a new media file, and lo and behold, the placeholders are now updating correctly. I didn't end up changing any of the settings from before, I can only think the upload prompted a refresh of the metadata or such. Previously I had done a rescan of the libraries, which didn't fix the images.

Also, the podman settings match those on the Jellyfin site i.e. using the default network mode (bridge).

I'll see how it goes over the next little while, and report back if there are more updates. For now, it seems the issue is solved by uploading a new media file.

    Thanks again.
