Trickplay exclusions

I would like to exempt certain video files, like trailers, from having trickplays created for. Is there a way to do this. Maybe exclude *-trailer.mp4 or files it nativity determines is a trailer? If not, maybe a tick on and off option could be created in the trickplay settings to turn off for trailers. I honestly don't see the space and resource benefit of having trickplays created for trailers.
