Is there a hidden setting like there is for the Shield client?

    Clients that work:

    Nivida Shield
    Findroid for mobile.

    Clients that don't work:

    Jellyfin server (Windows Chrome)

    Windows JMP

Official android app for mobile & android Tablet

Chapters appear when seeking but fast forwards doesn't bring up the trickplay images.

For the jellyfin android mobile app it looks like trickplay is only implemented if you use the web player (In the android app Settings->Client Settings->Set the "Video Player Type" to "Web Player".) On github for that repository I see issues opened for trickplay not being implemented yet for the integrated player/exoplayer. When I set my jellyfin android app to the web player I do get the trickplay images.

I do get the trickplay images when hovering over the timeline in either the web player in chrome on Win 11, and also for JMP on Win 11. I'm running Jellyfin 10.11.4 on Linux. One variable I can't eliminate is that I have the trickplay grid size set to 5x5 (web client->dashboard->playback->trickplay->set "Tile Width" and "Tile Height") because the Jellyfin Roku client needs that to work on certain older Roku models.

I haven't seen anywhere that this alternate trickplay grid size is needed for anything other than the Roku client. Can anyone else confirm if trickplay is working for them in Win chrome web player and/or Win JMP?

Edit: It looks to me like trickplay in Chrome and JMP is designed to show trickplay images only when hovering the mouse over the timeline, but not when doing fast forward/rewind because that changes the displayed main image.

You are absolutely right I checked the web player and trickplay works on my phone should of checked that. Same with Chrome and JMP when hovering with the mouse.
