Trickplay while watching show as it's recording

Trickplay is successfully working for all recorded shows and movies in my library. However, if I watch a show that is a recording in progress, there are no trickplay images available...not on the web browser, Roku, Android device, etc... Once the show has completed recording and I go back to watch it, the trickplay images are generated and work on all aforementioned devices.

Is it possible to have the trickplay images displayed during actual recording of the program?
