Even if UFW isn't running/enabled, iptables is probably still running.

Hi, I got a result as I had anohter HDHomeRun so I decided to try it.
One says it is a HDHomeRum Dual and that is the one that doesn't seem to work, but the other says HDHomeRun Connect. Once I removed the Dual version and put in the Connect one, it works. Not sure why but at least it is now working and I can get on with setting up my recordings.

I'm having the same problem. I have Jellyfin installed as an app on TrueNAS Scale from TrueCharts. Media playback is fine. The HDHomerun seems to have added correctly - the channels were discovered as expect but playback just shows the spinning wheel.
I can stream from the HDHomerun to my windows machine(in the HDHomerun App or using the config tool to open a stream for VLC) and using the Andriod HDHomerun app on my phone. My unit is older - HDHomeRun DUAL / HDHR-US. The firmware is 20230505.

In case this helps others, I lost my HDHomeRun (and a few other things) with the recent upgrade to 10.8.13 (native, not docker) on a Ubuntu 22.04 server. Looking through the log, and then looking in /opt/jellyfin/data, I discovered the whole data subtree got changed to root owner / group root. I run jellyfin under a user account and thus jellyfin did not have permission to write in the various cache, transcode, etc sub-folders there. Once I changed ownership / group of the whole tree (chown -R jellyfin data ; chgrp -R jellyfin data), everything was restored including HDHomeRun playing.
