    Hi all,
I was wondering if there was a way at all to have only works of fiction listed in movies as is possible in Kodi with the help of what they call Smart Playlists. I know it is possible to use filters to not show documentaries but the effect is only temporary it seems. What I do in Kodi is I use the smart playlist with the adhoc filters as my movie section on the home screen. Very handy.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I recommend setting up a dedicated library for documentaries, separate from your main movie collection.

You mean separate as in located on a different share? A new movie library only populated with documentaries, is that it? That could still get the necessary metadata? OK, will try that.
    Thx for your time.

    1. Relocate all documentary files into a new folder named "documentaries." Example folder structure:
      - media/movies
      - media/documentaries
      - media/shows

    2. Set up a new Movies library with the display name "Documentaries," adding the newly created folder.
